Specimen Requirements

Specimen Type: Nares

Container/Tube: Dual swab
Specimen Volume: 2 swabs

Collection Instructions:

1. Right and left nares are processed as 1 order.
2. Use both swabs for both nares.
3. Insert both dry swabs approximately 1 to 2 cm into each nostril.

4. Rotate swab against inside of nostril for 3 seconds applying slight pressure.

5. Repeat using same swabs for other nostril.

6. Return swabs to transport tube.
