Analyte Stability:

Specimen is unstable at ambient and refrigerated temperatures; stable 30 days at -20° C; and 3 months at -70° C. Before assay, allow specimen to thaw in a refrigerator (2° C to 8° C) or in an ice bath. Once completely thawed, mix by gentle swirling or inversion.

Laboratory Processing Instructions:

Test performed in BJH Core Lab. Specimen must be received on wet ice. Immediately spin in a refrigerated centrifuge and deliver to Cobas 8000 if before 1000 on Tuesday or Friday. If after 1000 and for all other weekdays and on weekends, immediately freeze at -20° C. Specimen must be processed within 1 hour of draw.
